The building business is in a constant state of change.  It is that change that keeps Weiss Building & Development on top of a strict continuing education plan.  We have earned the designation of Graduate Master Builder (GMB) and Certified Graduate Builder (CGB) from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) through this education plan.  The Graduate Master Builder Designation is the highest honor and designation earned by a builder through the National Association of Home Builders.  It requires experience in quality building, testing, classes, and a background of ethical business practices.  It shows our customers that we have taken the time, energy, and the reinvestment in our company to become the highest level builder through the NAHB.  It also shows our commitment to our trade, and the longevity of our business.  We strive to exceed industry standards and set ourselves apart from other builders.  When you hire a Graduate Master Builder, you know you are working hand in hand with one of the most dedicated builders in the industry.  Currently, there are only 8 GMB’s in Northern Illinois.

Weiss Building & Development visits the International Builders Show on a yearly basis to stay ahead of the industry standards. Every year new products are rolled out, and we want to be the first to know about them. Another annual trip the company takes is an international architectural and inspirational tour.  On this trip, historical buildings, international architecture, and world heritage sites are explored for their ideas in building and architecture.  This is done to bring ideas from around the world into our style of building.  It is the way we know to stay ahead of the newest trends, and offer something unique that most other homebuilders simply cannot.

Weiss Building & Development is truly passionate about the green building movement.  We are one of the few builders that have multiple green building accreditations.  Weiss Building & Development founder, Brandon Weiss, is not only a LEED AP (Leader in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) through the US Green Building Council but is also a CGP (Certified Green Professional) through the National Association of Home Builders.
